Welcome to the GIST Data Repository!
For over 15 years, USAID has funded this global archive of spatial data collected and distributed for the greater humanitarian community. It has become clear to us that the GIST repository has reached the end of its usefulness to the humanitarian community and we are in the process of shutting it down.
ALERT: The GIST Data Repository is scheduled to be shut down June 1st 2016. Existing registered users may continue to download data until that time but as of users 27May2016 we are no longer accepting new users.
If you are not already aware, we currently publishing a suite of new public data and map services based on UN OCHAs Common Operational datasets. We are also in the planning stages of setting up new open source data service and distribution system to be used for training purposes. If you have any questions or if you wish to receive emails about these planned services, send an email to the GIST administrator with a message indicating that you would like to be added to our public mailing list.
Thank you for your interest and support of the GIST Repository; it’s been a pleasure serving you in this capacity.
